Child in Time

Child in Time

A Chapter by Wondering Mind

A reflection on then and now .... The song by Deep Purple, I mean.

since then

the children have grown

and now have children
of their own

but still

they don't see the line

Author's Note

Wondering Mind
It is the same good and bad since the beginning of time, and before.... I guess the child went blinder than the blind man...

It is the child in us with pure mind can see the lines.
Sadly, this pure and innocent part of us are hidden
for we know it as the meek, the weak, the helpless
not realizing that it is our part that has not been
corrupted by our sinful flesh.

You are always successful in leaving us
something to wonder and to ponder.
You are one of my favorites here Wondering Mind!
Your mind and style is admirable!

Very thought provoking piece... with all the spoils in the world, most children are desenitized and blinded to the reality of good and bad... crossing the line.

"You better close your eyes, bow your head, wait for the ricochet."~ Sad song...

Perhaps I am wrong..but ..Billy Joel's - "We didn't start the fire " comes to mind for some reason..

my stitch in time saved nine times nine; close, but did not cross the children, i hope they find theirs in time...even the blind are accountable

This is so truthful, i have neices and nephews who want to see what they want.
They don't care who they hurt, still look after themselves. I like this.
