"The real you"

"The real you"

A Poem by Rache David
"

What is a true friendship? If someone becomes a different person.

"

Your sweet smile becomes bitter.

And laughs with no happiness to trigger;

“I love you” -- becomes your refrain.

Yet your heart chants no feelings -- flat and plain.

Your genuineness falters;

Behind their backs -- you mouthed a curse.

Is this your circle of friends?

Why are you on the outside of bends?

You’re reflection converts to distinct two.

You lost me -- the Real you.

If you have real friends... Be true to them too.
Remember they're really hard to find... the real ones.
Hope you read this.. I don't think this is my best.... It's just simple as it is...:-)

I can relate to this, having people not act like real friends.
Happens to all of us and it really sucks.
So like you said when you find the real true friends, You make sure you are a REAL friend back.
Because you don't find true friends everyday.
Great piece, really honest and inspiring.

Anytime.
It truly is.
Friendship is based on mutual love, care and understanding. To be real and sincere even in turbulent times. An excellent poem and message...:).......................
