"His"

"His"

A Poem by Rache David
"

"Of what he reminds me"

"

His eyes

I caught reflection of lies.

His lips

Scorched mine to strips.

His shoulder

Built broader to torture.

His arm

Brought me to harm.

His hands

Let loose of our plans.

His feet

As he fled to the parallel street.

His mind

Chose our way to draw apart.

For his heart

Was never mine from the start.

Very poignant, and so typical of love that is not shared! I think many a girl has suffered from this, and can identify, and feel your wounds. My Mum once said, 'There are plenty more fish in the sea!' and when I eventually married my Dad said I had made a big catch!!!!!! Good for you for sharing this poem.
