A Poem by Erin Sky
"

to Stranger in a Strange Land, a book above analysis.

"

Stranger, how well I know you.

Too well.

You contain the world in papyrus stain

like the Dead Sea scrolls.

We have known each other too long.

So I must leave you, let the dust pile thick

over your face

Leaving you to ripen on my shelf

until I have forgotten you myself,

And thou hast become a seed again

to grow in me and rise with rain
