thoughts explode

thoughts explode

A Poem by Erin Sky
"

one of the poems I wrote during that F. Scott Fitzgerald video in Mrs. Baker's class last year

"

And though my voice now goes unheard,

We are in conversation.

But it is my turn for monologue.

One day the children of our children,

will read this a-pining in classrooms,

and on branches and in forgotten woods.

It is following thought up until it explodes

and stains our graph with rainbow parabolas and pretty things.

I like the reference to algebra and math in the last line, and how it is viewed as something beautiful. I think what I like best about all of you poems is that I dont quite understand any of them, but they sound so wonderful and anyone can create a picture in their minds to compliment the words, whether or not it was the intended picture.

An interesting point (or by-product). We should watch what we do or say for the sake of future generations. Great poem.
