A Single Tear

It seems i have fallen from your grace

i no longer see your face

so i sit to write but the words wont come

 

Tears roll down my face

it seems i have fallen from your grace

down trodden and all alone

no one to call upon

 

A deaf ear has now taken the place

of my God and his grace

though i walk through the valley of death

i do fear evil i feel alone my heart cold

and out of place

 

On my knees

on my face

praying to God to once

more show me his face

 

But not a sound

do i hear

only feel the warmth

of a single tear...

Thanks for sharing your spiritual side. I think many people can identify wih this piece. We all have those times when we feel disconnected and it is a lonely, barren place to be. Your words describe it very well. Nice work! I did want to mention in the second stanza, correction in the last line-should be "call upon", not "call up on."

This is a beautiful piece .. I am adding this to my library . I can remember not long ago feeling like this .. it is Sins that seperate us from him .... And, why often times he closes his ears ... But, a repentent heart and sincere humbling obedient surrendering to his will prayer he will always hear .. the hardest part I find in laying down any sin that seperates anyone from God is not an easy journey for ones self to allow without having pride because of being comfortable within that sin or (sins) ... But, his grace and mercy endures forever even until the end ... He is the same always instant in season and out of season ... h doesnt change and neither does his goodness ... It's there ... We just have to seek after his wisdom and find truth in his words and allow them to change us ... no matter how difficult that is to admit ... It's worth it to Surrender all not just some things ... But, Everything ... God is God On The Mountain , He's God in The Valley , He's God over the seas ... And he's God over you & me ... His holiness doesn't change ... we do .
