Blue Autumn

Blue Autumn

A Poem by wordman
"

"

Autumn leaves,

a whisper of snow,

the warmth from the fire

as the red embers glow .

Night fall comes

in shades of gray and black

not a star shining

as the clouds push them back

I reminess

as the day goes by

our love reminds me

of the colors of the sky

Gray and black

not a star in sight

i knew our love was over

this very night ...

Awww, that's sad; but as long as you're still alive, there's hope that love can come again.
As Gerry and the Pacemakers sang, "Don't forget that love's a game, and it can always come again, so don't let the sun catch you crying..."
Oh, and I read in your profile that you've been here five years and still can't write. Better update, honey, because I don't think that's true, at least anymore.

almost,yeah ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I was lulled by the first three verses, then got to the fourth and paused, thinking, such a shame.

This is a quite beautifully built poem, that leads the reader on so very cleverly to the end and the dashing of hope.

Really liked this.

Beccy.

Tragic and wistful...makes me feel melancholy and think of my own past. Very vivid and mesmerizing. Nice one!

Very beautiful, very nostalgic. Whether you loved and lost, love for the moment fills you with emotions- whether or not it is returned or genuine at all from the other is not in your control. A minor nit-pick- spelling of reminisce is grossly misspelled. Kindly correct it.

Otherwise a sublime write!

Best,
M.

thank you for the visit,
Ive always wondered why autumn and winter often bring loss in relationships but i guess it is just a season like everything else. Love the moody crispness!
