Blue Autumn

Blue Autumn

A Poem by wordman
"

"

Autumn leaves,

a whisper of snow,

the warmth from the fire

as the red embers glow .

Night fall comes

in shades of gray and black

not a star shining

as the clouds push them back

reminisce

as the day goes by

our love reminds me

of the colors of the sky

Gray and black

not a star in sight

i knew our love was over

this very night ...

You did an excellent job keeping the cadence and rhyme.
A shrouded night and memories that requires a beer.

No problem
Not the best time of year to realise it was over... if of course, there is ever a best time... Neville

Your most welcome sir (smiles).😊
A different take on an autumn poem for sure. Fierce in its descriptions and sad in its ending, this sheds light on the nature of the seasons both figuratively and literally. Great write!!
