A Poem by Renee
"

Goodbye 2011

"

as the year wears to worn its leaving attire

I tire of the desire to let go and know

that when I rise on the morrow newness

will engulf my sense of being, and bring

into fruition a fresh start, parting way

with yesterday, where borrowed time

climbs to the furthest step from day of birth

worth more than mere words and absurd

notions, rotating 'round about those lost lots

pitched to the ever blowing wind of farewell

Author's Note

Renee
I just jotted here because I felt compelled to say goodbye to this year. It has been a bumpy road from beginning to end but I am grateful to have survived, even with the soles of my shoes more worn than my emotional feet could hardly stand....

a befitting goodbye is a way of starting anew and haven't we all...
as the years wear...is a nice way to remind ourselves and start a write...
as you end with farewell to good times and bad...
