Over and Over Again

A long time ago there was a King and a Queen. They had a daughter.

A princess?

You could say that.

 

There was a curse.

The Princess is forced to have eternal youth. To never die.

 

The Princess has seen many things

She has seen Betrayal. Love. Death. Friendship.

 

She’s forced to relive life. Over and over again.

Never dying.  Only having rebirth.

 

“How do you know she . . .”

“She chooses her age”

“Sometimes she’s a little child. Sometimes she’s an adult.”

“But she never dies. Never gets to die with the men she loved.  She has to go on living life without them. Without everyone she ever loved that’s buried in the ground.”

 

Author's Note

Just so everyone knows I just thought of it and this is a conversation between a boy and girl. And when the girl is talking about the story of the princess she's talking about herself. Just a fun little idea.

Woah, that would be a horrible curse! To never get to die with the one you love, or having to see all the terrible things in the world. Yikes!!

there is a bit of a tense issue at the beginning where you randomly switch from using the past tense to the present, but its really well done overall. i like the concept, i like the dialogue-type bits at the end. Overall, a very well done piece :)
