Dear Anna

Dear Anna

A Poem by the writer of woe
"

Just a short letter to my beloved.

"
How long has it been
Since the last time we were apart

How long has it been
Since you've been sad

I'm sure you you're happy with me.

Me?
I've always been happy.
I've lived a life o' loneliness before you.
When I saw you, I felt exactly how it should've felt.
I felt exactly what love was.
And to be honest, I still don't feel this way for anyone but you.

I'm sure you feel the same.
At least I hope.

I love you.

I really like this, the deceiving simplicity makes it even more personal and that makes it stronger. It works very well.

I did enjoy reading this. Ignored the formating...
I like it. What I like about it, is that you didn't use endless sentences to try and describe what that feeling was like. Rather it felt exactly the way it should've felt. I think its another good piece of your work. Keep writing :)

This is sweet. "I felt exactly how it should've felt." I love that line - so matter of fact, it's really powerful. Keep up the great work.

God this takes me back to when I was a kid and love was brand new and shiny and how carefree yet tenuous the footing felt. That euphoria can never be forgotten. Thank you for that. take care...dan

Nice flow of emotion in the poem and I liked the story of love. You create vision of two people who have found peace and joy together. A perfect ending to the excellent poetry.

Format is fine! I enjoyed reading this piece and sweet sentiment. I like
the last stanza a ton cause of the complete honesty, " at least I hope so "
