DOING TIME ON THE WRITERS BLOCK

a poem about the influences of having writers block

Doing time on the writers block headaches scalp the physical description     fingers map-out blank line doubt skimming   dead ends passion, plays like hieroglyphic rain   drying out   a visual age   where  mood swings balance becomes a practice   lacking evidence,  creating  madness  the way   you see the creased mistakes on the paper a face value    with elbow shadows on the desk  they form a riddle solved before light was ever discovered    ghost  writing  insomnia  the phantom ties to the lost lover   where again  you can break even with past  remember your heart can only beat 30 words per second  again you learn how fate tricked you against this tree skin    stone-coma epitaphs     never written   I feel empathy in telepathic stanzas    a victim style that's my eye   witness testimony   enraging  the nostalgia, blood lead now and then      writing  the mind crime  stationary   penmenship  between my head   exposing the tissue  desire    the  instinctual  reminders make the mark it takes to be remembered  bang ! let it ring in pairs  the meaning  seen through an angel's envy a verbal error  free of an extending consequence  craning  light off  head into a split second   subscribing  self sacrifice      the skull pieces head to the floor dream  space  scored fragmenting the cliff edge inside  dead setting       where relics are timed with what  galaxy architects built   a passing age    dead with pharaohs , and denial queens        framing pyramid  echoes in     geometry   never seen  confronting the angles in words returning to live again

. hmmm ... if this is what you write when you're doin' time ... i wonder what happens when you're not ... i shall find out ... meanwhile ... here's a thought ... if achievement and experience were mutually exclusive ... and they are ... though we don't think so usually ... then this would be a magnum opus ... an epic ... comprehensive and inviting ...

this is pretty verbose for someone in the throes of writers block...this is a very surreal trip of the externalization of an artist's mind in frenzy actually creating in a non-creative state. such irony. i love the images, though as i read through them, meanings are cryptic but i know they hold much meaning for you. excellent piece.

Tell me about it. I have actually looked at crumpled papers and saw something there in the shadows to write about. Scary! You covered it well; words and I have been friends long enough, now, they practically write themselves! What really drives you crazy is when you are writing notes to write about your boyfriend and you end up writing about your dog or something.

Well this is really interesting, for it to be for writer's block which we get, in itself is great. At the moment i actually have writer's block. :/ So reading this fits lolz. It's nice how this is interesting yet true, and the font crossed out and bold is great to fit the emotions of the words written for the poem. :D I liked these lines here a lot:
