You and I

I lay my head

upon your chest.

Your warmth,

chases the cold.

Your heartbeat,

beats in time 

with mine.

Your hand

laced in my hand.

Your breath

slow and steady.

Your love

so gentle and kind.

And for a moment,

as we lay,

time stops

just for us.

There is no one

but You and I
