Happily Ever After

My happily ever after
is filled with laughs.
Spending time  with my friends
acting immature, having fun, smiling
sitting, reminiscing, and wishing on every star,
hoping only for the best.

My happily ever after
is a breath of fresh air.
Running barefoot through the grass
climbing the tallest tree
blasting music
or just sitting on my roof, stopping to think
its all on my side

My happily ever after
is a life of love.
walking side by side
sharing thoughts without words
exchanging loving words
hands intertwined and soft kisses
with the one who will change my life.

My happily ever after
is where i am right now.
Laughing and smiling, growing and changing
never letting a moment pass my by
with joy to balance out the sorrow, and tears to compliment my smiles,
searching for answers but only finding more questions
spreading the love, giving hugs, having hope.
dancing in the rain, screaming, being crazy
and never forgetting to live in the moment, look between the lines, take a deep breath,
and fly.

haha i like this one of yours :) there arent enough happy poems on writers cafe' and you just added one to the pile :) the only problem i have with it is that it flows kind of awkwardly, but ignore that because its great!

my happily ever after is a place where people are happy with being in there own skin. theres no one who wants to get there noes done or botox. theres no wishing you were like the popular girl and we are all treated equally. my happily ever after is also finding a man who is completely different from me, yet the exact same. someone i can love and not get tired of, and he can say he loves me and mean it.

wonderful poem, its very sweet, ohh to act a fool! People are always happiest when they can be silly, scream, have fun because thats when we are all really ourselves and most comfortable. Sometimes our chaotic adult lives (bills, work or school... or both, obligations needing attention, responsibilities etc) distracts us from our inner child and deep desire to just let loose and have fun. My happily ever after would have to be, having a house full of a diverse range of children! my own and adopted, those with disabilities, those with special needs, troubled pasts, health issues, ones with beauty waiting to come out, babies of all races, all of which I will love completely! my happily ever after also consists of flying around the world to offer help to poverty stricken nations and areas in crises. yupp thats my happily ever after :) Great pome. Aww, I absolutely loved this write! I thought that the length of it was perfect, and that you did really well in summarising a broad concept in such a simple, concise way. I liked the whole idea of your 'Happily Ever After', and the way you were able to keep it universal and relatable, yet personal and unique at the same time. There was one typo in the last stanza, where 'never letting a moment pass my by' should be 'never letting a moment pass me by'. Other than that, this was fantastic. It definitely brought a smile to my face! :)

I think you described everybody's happily ever after. As I read I couldn't help but smile especially in the beginning the first stanza really sums it up for me. I also love the line:
"with joy to balance out the sorrow, and tears to compliment my smiles,"
