Writers Block

Writers Block

A Poem by Xavier Honre
"

You ever have writers block? This is how I beat it!

"

Writers block, a horrid truth,
That people can't get past,
You write one line, to get on a roll,
And find it'll never last.

You've lost your rhythm, or your ryhme,
It seems that you're just stuck,
You've given your best, but it's not enough,
And you're ready to give up.

You'll play a game of wit and skill,
And try to beat the blues,
But even there, it's all bad luck,
Because you're bound to lose.

It's not your fault, there's nothing new,
To fuel your writing needs,
You'll just have to take a step,
And plant new story seeds.

Think of what will be in time,
And take it as it comes,
Write it out but dont detail,
Think about it some.

Change your pace and style too,
When picking up your pen,
This time write a happy poem,
That makes your readers grin.

Your writing died because of death,
The readers did get bored,
And so your inspiration fled,
With no one wanting more.

And now it's time to try again,
This time something new,
Write of happy endings,
For you have written few.

Finish me out with this phrase,
For I have done my part,
Your writers block is no more,
Just write it from your heart.
