What happened to the stars?

What happened to the stars?

A Poem by Amé

"
Until the day I die
Little will there be
More important things
Than the sky to me

All the things we wish to claim
All they say we need to do
For youth, we shouldn't waste away
But claim it all beneath the blue

All we ever want in life's
Contentment, smiles and laughter
But really, it is only after death
There's happily ever after

I have the sky, it's yours, it's mine
And all the stars we have to keep
Better to wash our minds with stars
Than worries at night before we sleep

I may have gotten the point of life
Moment by moment, and moments are lost
But I think it's the moments with me and the sky
That I've gotten the point of life the most

Author's Note

Amé
The whole thing is just random rambling in an effort of expression, except for the last paragraph, which feels like the real poem.
