Fall Leaves

Fall Leaves

A Poem by M Slaughter
"

Fall sureeee is depressing.

"

Fall comes from a too short summer,

And fall leaves chang to fall colors.

Fall leaves hang on to the branches above

Until they give in to a push or a shove.

On the fall floor the leaves shall die

Making each though I have numb, number.

Fall enters with swirls of cold air.

Fall leaves fall, and the trees are left bare.

Fall birds migrate from tree to standing tree.

Fall holidays switch from fright to gluttony.

Then fall leaves, just leaves us behind.

Fall leaves us to face winter, with her icy stare.

Fall is one of the best seasons! Loved this!

I loved the mood, the speech of it felt dull yet what you described was so vivid. Very nicely done.
