Cellar Door

Cellar Door

A Poem by KGV
"

Ok. The "inspiration" for this is kind of strange. I was watching one of my friends get stoned on his webcam on night and I noticed a large white door behind him. Seeing as I've never been to his house, I had no idea where it led to. So I asked

"

Cellar Door

I see that door, where does it lead?
Off white adorned with small window panes.
I'm a soul of an earlier age. Why am I here now?
This cluttered mess is halting my sleep.
Centuries ago I was a many vibrant spirit.
Now I carry the weight of the world.
And if he's gone, where does that leave me?
I was told a cream-coloured door opens up a safe haven.
All it seems to be is a storage cellar called my heart.
What happened? When did I unleash my ultimate devil?
More questions than answers; I can't drift off.
Strips of my hair entwine my fingers. There's no pain.
My bitter insomnia is driving me mad.
I'm aware that this story will end on a down note.
If only I could find paper and a pen..

Mm...kind of mysterious in tone. I like that. I think maybe the flow could be improved upon, but otherwise, it's a very well written poem. good job
