My Darkness

My heart bursts,

And at last leaves,

Showing the sadness

Seen underneath.

This fall brings pain,

But I always knew

It would end like this,

Somehow worthless,

The life I lived,

Breaking away.

The hurt,

The fear,

Every lie full of pain,

It all led back to this...

I'm still afraid,

But you'll never see,

I've hidden it well,

Left it deep.

I'm still not okay,

And I hope you don't know,

Never see,

Never mind.

This wasn't what I meant,

It wasn't supposed to end like this,

Living a broken life,

Absent of hope,

Falling again,

It always led back to this,

My darkness.
