Strangers

Strangers

A Poem by yellowdrgn9

People pass at every moment,

Most never stop to say hello.

Those who do,

Are fast and never take it slow.

Everyone is alone,

this world is too far gone,

we have changed it to something

hideous, something lost too long.

People think they know you,

when they haven’t even tried,

to get past that fluff,

you put on the outside.

They expect you to be there,

even when they abandoned you,

they want you next to them,

and always positive too.

But when you are in need,

They scoff in your face,

saying they know not who you are,

they leave you in disgrace.

Soon you trust no one.

Everyone is fake.

everyone will turn

and leave you to shake.

Suddenly you are alone.

Fighting through the dangers,

trying to stay alive,

with no help from strangers.
