The Small Young & Beautiful

The Small Young & Beautiful

A Poem by Zoey

To be small means to be weak
Or at least that’s what they say to people like me
To be the same is perfect and chic
I guess that’s what trends lead us to believe

They, the young, can’t do anything they put in their heads
They’re not bold,they’re not beautiful
So they need to go back to their beds
C’mon don’t drool
Your parents need money so take your meds

What is it to be beautiful
Is it being kind or honest
Or is it having big lips, big hips, small waists
Even if you’re not the fondest

What can we take from each of these
Is it lock your doors
Kill your dreams and throw away the keys
No not that
That’s not a fact
In reality it’s up to you entirely
And no one in the world
Can stop your immortality

Zoey
This isn’t completely like the poem I wrote on a piece of paper, but the meaning is the same.

I love to read and write with all of my heart. Also I just want to say that I can't spell, and there may be grammar errors because I'm still young. Haters keep me motivated, and supporters keep me alive. more..
