Speed Zone

A Poem by youngkingkwan
"

A Playful Act of Metaphors

"

I can't stop my mind from racing,

Gordon's in my brain,

Now and then the light goes red,

but I get off on main,

I always find that silence,

is the hardest to obtain,

When I think I find my zen,

I burn the tires that remain,

So I'm steady on the road,

and back to switching gears,

I may have found my peace before,

but those were different years,

I went missing for a while,

because I was facing fears,

Now I'm back and curious,

I want to pioneer,

Sifting through ideas,

but the gold is hard to notice,

Some thoughts that I've thrown away

were gold and I know this!

Keep my mind and heart in sync,

and try to stay in focus,

Repelling negativity,

like water on the lotus,

Every flower has a weakness,

this fact I am sure,

You could be my downfall,

or you could be my cure,

Don't decide to love me,

unless you make it pure,

Until then there's no checkered flag,

my mind will just endure,
