Remember When.

Remember When.

A Poem by Theresa Lennon
"

It's about someone I loved who passed away.

"
I remember when you were here
And youd make me watch musicals.
You would smile and sing along
You knew the words to every song.

I remember when we danced around
Touching every corner in your room.
And now here I am your voice silenced
I have to wonder is this penance?

You know its really not fair
That you cannot be here.

And I watch the sun go down
And I remember when we laughed.
And I watch the stars appear
And I remember when we loved.
And as it all goes by I remember when,
When we were on top of the world.

I remember when you held my hand
And told me it would be okay.
And when you held me tight
As I cried and cried all through the night.

I remember when you said I love you
For the very first time.
The words were golden to hear
And to this day I hold them dear

You know its really not fair
That I am alone here.

And I watch the sun go down
And I remember when we laughed.
And I watch the stars appear
And I remember when we loved.
And as it all goes by I remember when,
When we were on top of the world.

I remember, I remember
Its impossible to forget.
I remember, I remember,
Some things cant be stopped by death.
I remember, I remember,
And I love you still.
I remember, I remember,
I know that I always will.

And I watch the sun go down
And I remember when we laughed.
And I watch the stars appear
And I remember when we loved.
And as it all goes by I remember when,
When we were on top of the world.

I watch the sun go down
And I remember you.

I'm Seventeen and I've been writing for the greater portion of my life. It's my first passion. As far back as I can remember I would just swing in my backyard and make up songs in my head. more..
