Wishing for a return

Wishing for a return

A Chapter by Sir Drift & Mr. Pulse

Sometimes its true
I wish so much that you would return
Silly me, like cows jumping over the moon
having such impossible expectations

How I loved our conversations
Especially the words carried on your lips
I used to smile for no reason
And want to speak every day

I still wait, for just one more chance
And I know I should give up
But DAMN how I wish you would return
And stop this heart from its burn

I dream and dream and keep doing it again
I just cant escape this lucidic hope
What have you done to this heart?
Once stone and now ice cold

Ive been picking flowers and dropping them in the Ocean
Perhaps the Ocean is deeper than my sorrow
Id swim in it and drown to its end
To finally escape this feeling

But us humans just dont give up
Why cant I run away
Never look back and find someone elsewhere?
And in all of this I ask, do you feel the same?
