Arrows Against Humanity

Arrows of brutality attack our fragile society, 

From the negativity it has caused a tragedy. 

Life is precious and desperate so tread lightly, 

Many have been struck by arrows of insanity.  

Created by man the arrow is designed purposely, 

Deflecting these arrows can be catastrophe.  

In order to maintain our sanity, 

We need to fight to bring out the positivity. 

 

For it's also a mankind's gift 

To spread discord and enmity 

Arrows of brutality attack us, 

coming ever so near of ripping our hearts apart. 

What is the purpose, one may ask  

Except to render them incapable of humility.

Life is precious and desperate, so tread ever so slightly. 

Hear the anxious cries of dying humanity...

What a fine cohesive collaboration, full of sane references and a calm summation of facts and emotions.

Your poem whispers what's been screamed for years. Warnings, advice, pleas, and so forth have rarely if ever worked for more than a breath. The Flood didn't alter Civilisation's fiercely uncivilised behaviour. Seems only self-destruction will. But nobody will remain to record the aftermath.. such is humanity's evil. Perhaps.

I've always thought that too, about the time when real action against such evils would take place instead of just breathing out mere words...
