Moon pulls me ...

Moon pulls me ...

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Inspired.

"
The moon pulls me,

as ripples of water flow through
.

Words form in my mind,
stumbling forward
,

I screw my eyes
,

as an array of sentences crash through

... c
ollapsing, the moon pulls me
in deeper,

the memories I held back
come toppling over one another,

swaying a little,
I give in,
the attraction's too much,

I lock my glance ~ mesmerized ...
by the beauty it holds,

and in that very moment --
beautiful words arrange themselves;

on the heavenly sky ---
a poem ~ is formed ...

Thank you, J Todd Underhill, for airing my little piece :)

Lucky I found this in my reading list, since I won't be able to access your poetry for now. This is a great poem to read on the morning after a full harvest moon! I'm so sorry to see that you are feeling less-than-best & needing a break from the cafe for a bit. Hope you feel better & return to us someday. We always miss you when you're gone (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Such a beautiful way to express how the night brings out the feelings embedded deep within our hearts.

Thank you so much for your lovely words here and for appreciating :)
The moon and the muse often call in tandem. The moon pulls lime the tides, ""swaying a little, I give in...a poem is formed." Lovely, ethereal imagery. Delicate and rhythmic flow, like silk. Stunning poem.

Thank you, Annette. I appreciate your lovely words here :))
This is a very poetic way of describing feelings as if they were waves subject to the Moon and its phases.
I enjoyed this - Good job.

A beautiful pull the Earth does to the moon, to sync in such a perfect rotation!

That it does :)
Oops yeah, you got that right. Thank you for that 😊
Nature can inspire love, music, poetry and a great many other things. Love how the moon has captivated you and convinced you to write a poem about her

That's cool! I'll have to get used to it ;) :)
Wow! I'm literally stunned by the beauty of this piece...
The calm, gentle and hopeful emotions it holds in the poem, that I'm left to feel dreamy...
I really enjoyed reading this...
Well done, keep it up Yumna!
