Demons

Demons

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

More thoughts on self. Ramblings of a raging mind...

"
In a quiet battle with your inner demons, you end up as a wounded warrior; defeated or you conquer -self-

Either way, the loss and gain is yours to take and accept.

But the real question: loss of what? Or rather who?
Maybe it's you you lose...

And if you conquer -self-, where do those inner demons hide?

Maybe they sleep, waiting for their wounds ... to heal.

Your words are very specific, adamant, deeply felt.. guess only you can sort out such emotional wonderings. Talking to people, 'sounding them out' - is fine, makes sense. But, in the end, the decision is with Self.
Surely. the answer is there in your final phrase, time heals. But, scars, as it takes time. Not even learning to tie a shoe lace is learned overnight.. no fast cure in life, dear you.

Questions for the heavens or the depths...beautifully written, analytical, introspective, eloquent. My response - toss those demons back into the abyss and reclaim your beautiful serenity my friend. I cheer you on!

Yes you did. :)
Fighting the beast with a handleless razor blade. Punished, whether you fight back or not. I guess loosing a few fingers is worth more than loosing your mind.

Enjoyed your write. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much, Ken. I appreciate your words here (:
Really interesting theme here of inner demons, which I think we all have and fight. It does feel like a never ending battle, in which the loser simply rests and licks their wounds until they can fight again. Us, as humans, will always have demons within us.
Great work on this one. It really speaks to me in the moment.

No problem.
It's not good to lose you - unless the you you lose is the you that causes you undue stress. Better to communicate with the demons and see what they want then bring them round to your way of thinking - worked for me with one particularly nasty demon !

Great thoughts, thank you so much for your words here. I appreciate it 😊
interesting concept---the idea of not healing from the wounds, but the wounds needing to heal, so they can come back and haunt us...
if that happens we never find self again. We keep who we are at bay.
