we all get knocked around a bit for sure .. putting on that happy face may get one through the day ok but healing will evade until we come to grips with our pain and need to allow healing ... i thought of busy NYC sidewalk and all the people scurrying about to here and there ...too many people to interact with even the smallest smile or eye contact ... how much pain in one block ... hmmmmmmmm all prepped for the "I'm fine" responses ... but life does go on ...we do have to pay our bills eh?! i got a lot reading your very brief poem

Not "Damaged Goods", Yumna,
Seasoned, knowing, tempered, and strong … honed by the wildfires of life.
Some will perish, many will struggle and survive … the few will rise and soar, like a phoenix from the ashes, embers, and flames.
For these few humbled by life's experiences, there's no need to pretend, but to stand proud and confident, renewed through the strength and wisdom earned … as I know You have, as I know You will.

Well, I can't disagree with that, Richard. It all depends on how we regard ourselves, I guess. This one-liner did come out of a dark moment I was going through and as you know, our thoughts and opinions are ever-changing. .. thank you so much for your positive words here, dear friend. Potential means everything, Yumna … the greater one's potential, the higher their possibility to soar, and the higher they soar, the further and broader they see, and the further and broader they see, the less reason their thoughts and opinions have to change, except into the direction of farseeing growth … as you've done, as I know you will continue to.
