Redamancy

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay

Ramblings.

I think the hardest part in life is trying to make the people you love, love you back. And somehow, that never happens. Or even if it does, there's always this one person out of the two of you who loves more than the other. Love is never truly reciprocal.

Always great to learn a new word! I find your pondering of this concept to be thought-provoking. I’ve always known & accepted that one person always loves more than the other. One of my favorite songs of all time: “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt. I love the way your message makes it sound like this might be the first time you’ve started to consider this unavoidable aspect of loving (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Very interesting concept. It's a bit true. I use to try to gain attention from my father but I was always ignored.

Love does not necessarily mean passion, or a stifling atmosphere. A quiet acceptance cultivated over time is far more likely to result in a successful bond . But occasionally a little thunderstorm is necessary to clear the air. After over 53 years of marriage ,we have justified this. Is this redamancy???

Very true. It's why I hold no expectations for my loved ones. What means everything to me can mean nothing to them with their love for another outweighing the care of another. Sad but true. Live a life alone, but not lonely... just wise. As is this.
