When Words Fall Short ...

When Words Fall Short ...

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Ramblings of A Tired Mind.

"
Am I in love, they ask me,
as poems upon poems spill
themselves down the page

and I smile 'cause I know not
still, the idea of cliched love
infused in my poems...

Am I in love, they ask me;
my words speak for themselves,
for I am in love, with the idea

of my being and of yours,
but words fall short to
describe my depth of it...

and I am in love with the
idea of (self) destruction and
of everyone else around me ...

If love is an abyss,
then I am my own havoc.

i especially like how you ended this piece...and yes, maybe love is better left in poems and not in real life...

we can make of poems what we want to read into them...but real love happens, elates and hurts deeply...more than just words...it's the feelings behind the words.

I love the idea of being in love, in reality though it can be a headache! It can hurt too. I haven't suffered hurt writing about it. Words can be useful. Great little write here Dr Y. All good wishes to you.

Thank you so much for the lovely words here, Ken. Glad you appreciate :-)
interesting turns and twists of love and words ..especially in poetry ... we do some very silly and sometimes devastating things throwing ourselves into the "abyss" ... i especially appreciate the wry humor of your closing Doc.
