Victimized Villains

Victimized Villains

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Ramblings. Point of view.

"
A war fought through virtual
screens, where everyone is their
own god; where no assessments
are held, and justice is served

by the ones having the most
ink in their pens, and sweet,
sweet poison which burns
the innocents' throats.

Through rose-tinted glass windows,
the spectators watch and laugh,
and point and grunt, like trolls
comparing the size of their clubs,

and bet on who'll last long, while
villains morph into victims
and are praised for raising their
voices against the angry mob.

Soon, as always happens,
victimized villains would shed
their foot-long skins of innocence
and start spitting venoms.

I believe this is what happens among the rabid hate-mongers online, but I've never read this stuff, so I'm not tuned in to how it goes. You paint it with such intensity, it makes me glad I never pay attention to any trolling. Nowadays, our "normal" political discourse (TV commentary) sounds a lot like this, with such an angry troll at the helm of our country (USA). You've captured the reason why I am mostly unplugged from the roiling madness now (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

It is very hard to tell which is which these days. But, given enough time, true nature always wins out. A really good social comment, you are very good at those and framing things in a way that makes the point that much finer. Loved it!!!

I agree. It's all a matter of how much of a good observer one is in recognizing people. Thank you so.. read more
You are absolutely spot on... there are some very crafty nasties around... nicely poemed I might add :)

I thought a poetic approach is better than showing responses all around. I'm glad you like it, Nev. .. read more
