Unheard

Unheard

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Spontaneous.

"
Anyone can dance to a music
they've been practicing on,
but being forced to dance to a music
they've never heard before ---
that, is life.

Life doesn’t come with the owners manual. We do the best we can. But what makes life interesting Is exploration of new ideas. When you run out of things toTry life becomes boring

This is a profound little poem Y. Your metaphor comparing life with dancing to music is brilliant. You are quite correct that life is completely unpredictable and when we think we have sussed it out it springs a surprise on us.
All the best,
Alan

Quite a REAL insight - and most often "forced" upon an unsuspecting recipient.

Excellent poem, stands out as a classic and unique take on the world around us.

Clever. And brutally honest. This is true for pretty much every living thing whether they want to admit it or not.

This is one of your best.

There's always a way of adjusting your steps to another's music and that is to sing your own lyrics, Yumna. You don't need instruments for that, cos you just tune your own heart - and that you've always been able to do. Your poetry has its own orchestration, dance to that thought, please. Best wishes and more for the new year, third niece

Not only is that “life” but that’s art - like this poem. Some of the best poetry and paintings seem to come from imagination, which is so often improvisation (maybe like dancing to not only a new song but a new genre). I wonder if the moon dancers could square dance with the Appalachian hillbillies. Life and art are both richer when we take different steps. I always admire your poetry. Compliments from me on another good one.

It is indeed life, but though no matter which piper calls the tune, (some far more totalitarian than others,) we can still dance to the music of our choice.

Dance to your own tune dear Yumna, never to someone else's dear poet. Also as Ted has said dance your heart out as though no one is looking. Never lose the sound of your own sweet song. All good wishes.

As they say Doc ... dance like no one is watching ... but do not dance to someone else's tune ... try to discover your own music ... Life should be musical even if you're the only one who can hear the tune.

Good write Doc
