No One Notices...

No One Notices...

A Poem by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Ramblings, as usual.

"
No one notices
when a pen stops writing
when the ink runs dry
when words go missing
when pages go blank;
never to be filled...

indeed, often when we are writing it goes unnoticed, untouched.
Such is the case here with many poets who have produced really excellent work, share it,
and then get 0 reviews...I don't understand that...
so much good work going unnoticed.
thanks for writing this poem YumnaKay....how can they notice us when we are missing if they never noticed us when we were standing right in front of them with pen in hand.
I need to turn the desk lamp off now and shut down the computer...better to sit in the dark.

Funny how we can disappear, and no one notices and then reappear at a later date, and no one notices, though we remember. Perhaps we are not what we thought we were. Just a misconception created to make ourselves feel better inside. I will often see on a poem, mine, others and like this one...67 views and 5 reviews. Did the other 62 people not like the poem, not understand the poem or what? Who knows but, we still keep writing and thankfully we do because I would not have found this had you stopped. Thank you for sharing. .

Actually some do ...notice... and feel the absence quite sharply. So few feels it is appropriate (nor desired) for them to publiccly comment about their missing someone. Social, cultural, and/or religious mores often disallow many individuals the appropriateness of displaying their emotions,

Lovely work. Yes good poets are the unsung heroes giving their all in the hope they will get a glimpse of some reader that appreciates them. Then you get the unprofessional types like me also appreciating a review lol. Really nice piece to relate too.

so sad ... well said! we share our hearts and souls in words, on pages and for one ... right here at the Cafe' .. tho i am sure there are many other platforms ... we share to connect, get feedback and get a little better at creative expressions ... love the honesty .. love the fading print ... so relatable ... keep on truckin' Doc! Merry Christmas too!

Gee
Indeed, we disappear into the ether only remembered when words return to be shared.
Good morning Doc :))
