Court of Appeals

And just like that I am no longer a person

My life, boiled down to rights and wrongs

Read aloud for all to hear as a list of crimes

Charges for which I must answer and pay

 

My life is gone in the eyes of this world

I am just another name, another number

That is the penalty for what I had become

I am to be put away, like a toy so broken

 

It is not enough for me to be apologetic

Or to try and make these things right again

I must be removed from their lives in full

To save the society I once knew from myself
