Lovely senryu! It irks me when people call pieces such as these a haiku. Haikus relate strictly to nature; a senryu, human nature and events. This is a great SENRYU. Anyway, it seems pieces about current events are few and far inbetween. Thank you for sharing.

I took a very extensive study on haiku/senryu/5-7-5. A haiku, traditionally anyways, is strictly related to nature. Senryu is human natures and events. 5-7-5 is everything in between.

Some people think when you write a poem, it has to be obscure and enigmatic. You have to wonder if you ever get the writer's intent! Now, this poem is short and succinct and everyone can identify with it! It's more difficult to say something with few words, but you have done a great job! Excellent write!

I agree with you that some people prefer to write poem purposefully making the obscure and enigmatic.I feel such purposeful endeavor may be termed as crime.Literature is for the benefit of the people.It should not cause problems for them.I hope such attitude will change gradually.
