A Little Bird Told Me

A Little Bird Told Me

A Story by zakuzen

One day I came across a little bird, and to my surprise it spoke to me.
I said, little bird, I am in shock, how come I can hear what you say?

The little bird said, I have the ability to speak to those who seek.

Seek? Am I in search?

Yes you are, most people are.
And I can see that you are too.

But does it mean you speak to all of them?

No, the little bird said.
I do not.
Let's just say, I only speak to those who have the heart to listen.

(So that’s how it was that a little bird told me)

“It’s not about what you may find,
what matters is how you've tried to find it.”

I like your endings. The story would have been better if you used quotation (") marks though.
