Death of a Goddess

Death of a Goddess

A Poem by Amber
"

A poem from inspiration used by old notes and writings

"
The light bounces around her body
luring in those most easily distracted
Her golden caress, effortlessly she carries herself
one would love to reach out and embrace
but would find nothing left but a nub
Her beauty her curse, her desirability a zero
for no one wanted something they could never have
and cast her to the ocean of emptiness
It wasn't meant to be she told herself again
and feeling pain for the first time she held on
the suffering wont last much longer
they defamed and diminished her for the last time
the sun will not rise now that she has drowned in the seas

Ooo I like this, especially the last line! And the idea that "no one wanted something they could never have" is so sad but I love it.

A breathy sigh emerges from my mouth,
thy poems work wonders. :D
