Life Gang

Life Gang

A Poem by Z

I collapse while taking a sip on the vodka
It's illicit taste rather spoiling my evening
Trickling down my chin within its burning grasp
Leaves nothing but gang bangers deceiving

Couple of us kids stroll out into the city
Kicking cards and playing beat dices
Taking turns on Hollywood finding road blocks

Of life reaping out love beneath the devices

The ground spins like my best friend DJ
The skies are disco balls piercing colors
My oh my someone's looking us in
We kids pull the scene with guns of love and jinn

Time passes like it were forever
Stifling rodents out of our shoes in moments
Dimmer the strobes calmed down a bit
Leaving us with guns of blood in the atonement

There laid out our souls in the covers
Faces blurred as if there's no other
Flowers spilled like doves in wires
We've fit in the world and it's vulgar attire

A lot of contradictory allegory. It seems as though this is an attempt to portray depth; as in a reflection pool that seems as deep as the Aegean, though in reality merely inches above the floor.

Keep writing, if it brings you joy. Keep reading to learn the craft.
