Love can't hurt you at all

Love can't hurt you at all

A Poem by AshCat

When I was a little girl,
I dreamed of the perfect fairy tale,
Meet prince charming,
He would sweep me off my feet,
He would be the perfect gentle man,
He would be so sweet.

As I got older I have realized,
My dreams have turned into lies,
My smiles have turned into tears,
And all my hopes into fears,
And that no-one is coming to rescue me.

I've learnt that all you can do is try,
Give it all,
And try not to fall,
Blank out the past,
Try to move on,
Forget everything that's happened,
What you had is gone.

Close your eyes so you cannot see,
Blank out the words,
So you cannot hear,
If you can't see and you can't hear,
You can't feel,
You can't fall,
Love can't hurt you at all.

This was heartbreaking. My favorite parts were:
"My dreams have turned into lies,
My smiles have turned into tears,
And all my hopes into fears,
And that no-one is coming to rescue me."

This is really good.
Ahh, it reminds me of my younger days.

When I saw the title i sort of thought it was going to be about someone falling in love and getting there heart broken. But, they realise that the thing they felt was wonderful and they end up only getting a good feeling of what they had, and what not many people can find.

A lot you can get from a title.

I love poems like that. Thats why I try to write stuff like that. (About how everyone/everything in 2008-or just my age-is corrupted.)

Awsome job.

XxStaySweet,
Rina
