Down

Down

A Poem by Beth
"

when one wants to be alone...

"

Deep, down deep I hide

resting from the time I bide.

Down, deep down I crawl

and to my soul I call.

Cry, soft I cry now

but tears I'll not allow.

Close, in close I am.

Self will holds the raging dam.

Deep, down deep I hide.

Flies, dust flies by my side.

Down, deep down I crawl

and my soul to me calls...

Out. Come Out Again.

but dust has blocked the way in.

Dear ZoeJane,

This is a very poignant piece. The brevity of the stanzas give it stark power. The desperation is strongly felt. Kudos!

Kindest regards,

Rick
