Pills At Will

Pills At Will

A Poem by Kit Grey

Abuse is sometimes to hard to overcome, sometimes we do the only thing we can.

Her heart, so sore.

Her mind, no more.

The pain inside,

Can no longer hide.

She waits for,

The perfect time.

She waits for,

Her forced time.

The pills, so colourful.

The pills, so attractive.

The pills, are they needed?

The pills, she thinks so.

Her hands, they tremble.

Her body, it shakes.

Her tears, they fall.

Was this, a terrible mistake?

She lays down on her bed,

And folds her hands.

She closes her eyes,

And waits for the heavenly band.

She smiles softy,

For he can hurt her no more.

She smiles softy,

From her abusive father, she is now free.

She slowly, starts to slip.

She slowly, stars to slip.

The light is showing,

So close in her view.

The light is slowing her thoughts.

A freedom from hell on earth,

A freedom from her abuse.

Her soul rises, high in the sky.

Her soul rises, trying not to cry.

Her freedom is joyous.

Her freedom is here.

Her mind thanks the pills,

The pills that she swollowed at will.
