Chapter Two: It is a Hard Life

"What the hell?" Yelled a girl on a fine linen bed, "Who is this girl?"
"This is Alice. Be nice Kristy, her parents both have died now and she has no where else to go," explained the foster mother. They both still seemed on edge and it felt like they were hiding something. Something so sacred and important that if it was leaked it could ruin their lives. Alice just smiled and nodded and went to the bed she was assigned. This was her new roommate who was pretty evil on some extent. Not the greatest girl to hang out with.

A few hours went by and Silvia soon called for dinner. Alice's new home was like an apartment. It was made up of several rooms where all kind of foster kids lived in. It was in the best condition and it did have a lot of fancy furniture. Alice's room was on the first floor right next to the kitchen where she dreaded to leave this house and city. Nothing was spectacular but also nothing was horrid in her life.

Months passed in the new house and the days felt longer and longer. Life was practically boring now, no excitement or dramatic situations. But one day all the foster children were called to the dinner table for a special meeting.
"Mama, what is it?" yelled a young man who acted as if his foster mother was his biological family.
She responded, "We have some bad news, it has become my concern that some of you children have been sneaking out at night. Can you explain?" A stern look began to form on her forehead.
"What are you talking about!" yelled Kristy rudely and inconsiderately.
"I am talking about, one of you.. who has not been following my rules!" Her voice got louder as she began to cut steak for dinner.
"Ok! I did it, I am sorry Silvia I did not mean-"A small innocent looking girl with deep dark green eyes confessed.
"Save it. Come with me." She announced grabbing the girl's hand at taking her down to a cellar of some kind. Something not good was happening to that young sweet girl. The dark red door that led downstairs felt as if it was getting darker. My vision began to worsen and I suddenly passed out.
