A Case of Purple

A Case of Purple

A Poem by Arra Frost
"

Codes encrypt the narrative of fate

"

Trapped within a city swarmed by death

Codes encrypt the narrative of fate

Revealing that the truth of your past

Is the present traveling beside you

Tedious tasks will soon find excitement

On the dangerous journey of mystery

Brought on by strange gems and crystals

Earned when the finish line is crossed

Obtain the sought after treasure

From which loyalty creates sacrifice

Learn that magic will not always rescue

For the elements do not rule this realm

Teamwork from inconsistent backgrounds

Are the only weapon in the war for the future

Against the never failing corporation

And their twisted demolition clowns

Ha!!!-What a handle you have-streaming words together-
i read this at least 3 times-and i am jealous (again) of your talent-
i do love the last verse---but i like the second the best---
What's really kool about this poem is the metaphorical imagery-
...I Love It..

"Tedious tasks will soon find excitement
On the dangerous journey of mystery
Brought on by strange gems and crystals
Earned when the finish line is crossed"

...it's even better read aloud...i mean magnificent rhythm-
...this is another one of your excellent pieces of poetry...

The games we must play in order to win in this world. I remember as a child hearing someone say, "The one with the most toys in the end, wins!" Corporate America, ya gotta love 'em sometimes! Thank you for this, Arra!

Wow very philosophical….
It seems that you are a good thinker…
You have that ability to look into ..
What is behind the scenes….
I will say..
Liked the poem so much….

The only thing that truly made sense to me was,
"Codes encrypt the narrative of fate
Revealing that the truth of your past
Is the present traveling beside you"

There are some great lines on their own, but to say that they made sense as a whole, I'd be lying :(
The title itself does not relate to the poem in my opinion. Purple can me any of the following: sexual frustration. intuition, spiritual protection, or royalty, but I did not find any of it here.

Sorry for not understanding it :(

Arra, you never cease to amaze the writers. This is fantastic. You have so much raw talent for writing, and doubled with your love of it, you produce some incredible pieces of work. I love the last stanza the most because of the truth to it. Overall, another great write. Excellent job.

This is a fine poem, but you have a problem with hyphenation. "Obtain the sought after treasure" doesn't make sense unless you use a hyphen between sought and after. I'm aware you're avoiding punctuation again, but the line doesn't make sense in this context.

This is a good poem though. Great job.

Provokes thoughts and ideas that stir inside of Gage... Thoughts and motives that have been quiet yet lurking in the depths of her twisted mind...
Keep writing, Arra.
