Thy Lonely Tree

Thy Lonely Tree

A Poem by Doodley
"

Identifying with nature

"
Weeping Willow, hear my pleas,

Enclose your branch, shed not your leaves;

Thy Lonely Tree, do not you see?

That you am I, and I am thee,

Silently standing, unbound and free,

Here we sway, together as three.

Past, present and future. Just a short sextet. Nothing incredible.

Wow....just..wow....I do not even have words to praise this.... I could feel my heart jump in between...... The fact that you connected being lonely in human life with a tree.....just simply beautiful.. "That you am I, and I thee" my favorite line..
But pls do explain the meaning of the last line as I do not understand the reference to the "three"

Wow! You are a true poet perfect. Brotherhood and comraderie between people having common hardship is possible. But, only poets can make anyone and anything their companion.
Incredible!
But your saying something incredible as , 'nothing incredible ' is a bit too much.
I guess, loneliness should be the third one in the threesome two .
I loved the internal rhyming of 'the lonely tree, do you not see' and the wording of the next one very much.
Thanks for sharing. Keep writing.:)
