Thank you for reading and reviewing, Mou. I appreciate you taking the time to read my works.
The title confused me a little. Throes are the end of something - yet the end of skepticism implies the beginning of non-skepticism or belief so belief begins in ...the end of trust...?
That aside I thought the wordsmithing of the main was on point and clever Doodley.

I thought the title was obvious; suffering under the torment of skepticism; from a lack of trust. "Throes" implies suffering, torment, pain, struggle. I appreciate the comment.
Sadly now, everything is played to the public.
In saying that. The public love gossip.
It's when couples really go beyond the point of no return. Sadly the days of diplomacy are over.

Thank you for reading and reviewing, Paul. Your words ring very true. I appreciate the insights.
Clever play on words, and philosophical. Indeed, self defence against slander! ( I think a full stop might be better at the end of the first line. At first I thought it was she who was 'sacrificed', but I am sure it is meant it be he.)

I'm all too familiar with the concept of this topic. Relationships that end sourly can explode into something terrible. One or both sides feel scorned and lash out at the other. I can see too many examples of this in my family. Parents have marital issues that drive them apart, and they act bitterly and often childishly toward their exes for the rest of their lives. In doing so, they make life needlessly difficult for both themselves and their family members (specifically the children, if I may speak from person experience). I know relationships sometimes don't work, but I deeply wish that they were able to be civil about the ordeal. If they were calm and peaceful about things, they may eventually found it in themselves to forgive whatever actions happened. Or perhaps that's too idealistic of me to think so. Either way, life's too short to allow hate to spread. Sorry for the rant.
I think the brevity of this poem does it justice. It makes it relatable while getting the message across. Everyone who has been in this sort of position will be able to fill in all the blanks with their own experiences.
P.S. I like your knew profile picture.

I really appreciate your thoughts in this extensive review. Sometimes the explosions are caused from just the silliest spark and get out of control like a wild fire. I agree that civility is required in such cases but not all apply civility to themselves. I appreciate you expressing your thoughts on the issue. As for the new profile picture, i just thought i needed a change. The last one was mistaken for an alien of some sort when it was in fact a 3D resolution of Quantum Theory in motion! Hardly the right picture for a writing site. I hope all is well on your end.
A feeling of tenseness in this write doodley, a mutual standoff as respect is lost. nice brevity matey.

Slandering is dangerous and very tricky business. We have to be sure of facts or it is liable to injure someone or be unjust to them. And you have summed it up marvelously.

Filling someone's ears with slurs against some other person, I'd say, is a boon to that 'other person'. You just get to know how many people actually trust you and are there by your side through all thick and thin.
Very nicely constructed this one. And also very relatable. It always feels good to vent out emotions on paper. Just keep writing!
