Elpis. (Hope.)

Elpis. (Hope.)

A Poem by Lorry 4.4

Elpis (Hope)

Within the whispers of my thoughts,
hope wakens from hibernation.
Blinking through the cobwebs and dust,
it remembers feeling alive.

Stumbling through minds corridors,
reacquainting itself with self.
Slowly spreading its optimism,
through the vaults of who I was.

Within, I feel a new dawn beckon,
warmth returns to dormant heart.
As I turn to see and feel your smile,
knowing my heart has awoken.

DAMN, saw the title and dived in hoping to read a Scottish version of " Blue Suede Shoes"......disappointed would be an understatement.....
Is there a lady that has caught your eye??

very well written as always. i love the way you use simple words but able to give a deeper meaning to the poem. the content in itself is meaningful as well.

Pretty s****y city: Scotland.

Looking at a charcoal storm scene, that matches the mood of my soul. I recognise that within me, must reside the artists echo... As I dissolve, turning to dust. . . . . . more..

Missing. Missing.
