You Dress My Mind

You Dress My Mind

A Poem by Lydia
"

Another ode to my muse...long may he reign!

"

“Lady of the Lake” by Steve Henderson courtesy of artistdaily.com

You dress my mind
in lacy lingerie that fits
over well placed nouns
and stimulates adjectives
I long to hear

E
ntwined in silken scarves
of metaphoric mastery
our tongues dance
turning first cheeks, then chest
cotton candy pink

Y
ou undress my body
of inhibitions
accessorizing my nakedness
with stylish sexual innuendo
and sizzling seduction

W
ith liquid rhythm
and linguistic form
you carry me
from nuance to subtlety
dressing my mind
my more than worthy muse

It's funny how our muse serves us differently at different times; and when the mood strikes, she can definitely be a vixen. I love how she dresses your mind for this poem, using the artistry of language to paint a beautiful picture of a sacred moment in time.

Thanks for stopping by. Lydia
I love the way you personify the Muse as the sexy goddess that she is, and the ways in which she seduces you with her "nuance to subtlety," and it is indeed a seduction of the mind and the senses. Beautiful and sensual poem!

Making lot of sense and creativity ; the metaphor and the figurative language is simply outstanding and without any doubt.

Simply beautiful, Lydi. Love begins in our minds and then takes us to those places your words so wonderfully describe.
