Egghead or Dullard: To Be Or Not To Be Parady

Egghead or Dullard: To Be Or Not To Be Parady

A Poem by MightyMouse

Egghead or dullard, that is to be inquired.

Whether ‘tis honorable to know-it all,

Or know nothing at all, I could not fathom.

Percipience or doltishness, which path to take?

To be a scholar would mean a profession and,

By profession, my life. Percipience or doltishness?

Idiocy could give me a dirty home under a bridge,

And empty feelings in my stomach as starvation

Threatens me. No education, no life. I couldn’t

Live a nebulous reality unperturbed

By my own ignorance. Therefore I chose insight

Rather than naïveté for the remainder of my life.

Had to do my own to be or not to be speech as an english assignment and just thought I'd share.

I don't know why, but I really enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would.
The words you chose were so eloquent and it made me appreciate every line even more.
The poem itself flowed quite nicely, as well.

I sure hope you received a good grade for this when you turned it in to your professor!
Anyway, great poem! Keep up the good work.
