We Were Supposed to Do What God Would Have

We Were Supposed to Do What God Would Have

A Poem by The John Fredrick Carver

God made us all him as he is the same one

In a circumstance that was true in the first place

And if we ever met anyone else we were done

So he made us appear to be different from race to race

Or the way we think or our good or evil ways;

We are actually God as had he been what we are

In a situation created to fill our days

Which were fiction and what God never had to bar

For despite our fiction we are God within

And we were to overcome fiction to be God

For really we are nothing in that we are in

For nothing is all that is real and the rest is odd

For consciousness is all we had or will

And conscious nothingness we are even still.
