The Eyes of the Storm

The Eyes of the Storm

A Poem by Hanlan Paquin

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa this could have been a lot better, but I thought it was alright

Rippling waves calmly gliding onto the cool serene moonlight beach,

A drop falling from the sky,

More drops,

With a no longer serene sea,

With the waves reaching astonishing height by the howling wind surrounding us like we have been embraced by the devil himself,

Loud cracks of thunder come from the sky,

Only being delayed by the blinding flash of lighting

The rain,

The light,

The sound,

The sky reaching a new jubilant,

As we encompass a new day,

The loud waves battering the beach slow,

Crashing into a more melodic, relaxing sound,

And the new day rejuvenates the destruction of the storm before,

And life is restored to its natural beauty,

The beauty that is home

I'm not good with writing with flow, but I think this creates an inspiring image in my mind. I would really love some reviews on this, because I wasn't sure if I should publish it or not.

This is a wonderful piece, the flow is great, and the imagery is perfect, I have never even been to the beach and I can picture it.

I'm a hopeless romantic in love. I am an insane pessimist, who sees good in most people. And I occasionally come up with a mediocre poem. I also speak French. more..
